Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by CineMed and Arizona Cardiovascular Research Foundation. CineMed is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physicians

CineMed designates this live activity for 8.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Nurses

This educational activity is approved for 8.00 contact hours for nurses.

Target Audience

This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of cardiologists, neurologists, internists, electrophysiologists, and allied health professionals involved in the diagnosis and management of neurologic and cardiac disorders. Residents, fellows, nurses, and advanced practice providers with an interest in the interface between brain and heart health are also encouraged to participate.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe how the autonomic nervous system influences cardiac rhythm and function.

  • Recognize how cardiac disease affects brain health, cognition, and performance.

  • Review emerging neuromodulation therapies such as vagal and spinal cord stimulation for arrhythmias, heart failure, and hypertension.

  • Discuss integrated approaches for managing syncope, arrhythmias, and cerebrovascular disorders.

  • Identify new opportunities for collaboration and innovation in neurocardiology.
